Hey guys, Aaron Fong here. Just to clarify, the design for the squash attire (as below) is a suggestion, not an implementation. Please vote by indicating your preference by voting in the poll box under the calendar to the left of the screen. If the votes are in favour of the design, then we can proceed to the production stage. Ad interim, we welcome any other designs. Please submit your designs to my email (aaron1992 at hotmail dot com) and I'll help you post it up here for the rest to see and vote. We aim to have as many designs as possible.
Updates:
1) Training Schedules:
A Div Guys: Tuesdays 1600-1800
*Note that there is a tentative extra session on 16/10 1600-1800.
Physical trainings are thrice per week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There will be punishment for late-coming.
A Div Girls: Wednesdays 1800-2000, Monday 1730-1930 (tentative)
Physical trainings are on thursdays.
B Div Guys/Girls: Trainings will only resume after assessment week.
C Div Girls/Guys: Mondays 1500-1730
2) Cafe Program:
Squash will be part of the Cafe program, starting next year. The program aims to let the JH1s experience a myriad of activities. Details pertaining to venues and timings are currently hazy as it starts next year.
3) Russia exchange program:
On 27-28th October, a group of 17 Russian students will be coming to NJC. They will be trying out squash as part of their experience. They will have priority for the usage of the courts for the 2 afternoons. If you see them, do give them a warm smile/hug and say "Привет". It's Russian for "Hi", pronounced as "Pryvet".
4) Duty Roster:
Clean up will be done after every training by the entire division. Members are to clean the courts, general area around courts and tidy the cupboard. Captains and/or the Quartermaster will be required to supervise the clean up.
Do remember that the cleanliness of the courts is a shared responsibility of all and we must ensure a clean and safe environment for us to train in. Share the workload evenly amongst your fellow squashers and treat it as a learning experience, not a chore. There is nothing degrading about cleaning upl rather it is humbling and allows us to reflect upon the true meaning of "Service with Honour".
Cheers
Aaron
